• How do we obtain drinking water?
• How do we build a shelter out of snow?
• How do we navigate in the wild?
• How do we maneuver a dogsled?
• How do we behave in emergency situations like a snowstorm?
From reading tracks to ice fishing and making a fire under the hardest of circumstances - These skills could be essential to our survival in the extreme environment far beyond the tree line. And then we set off: Only by foot and accompanied by our dog sled, we will fight our way through the wild. Exposed to the threat of snowstorms, trough barren subarctic mountainscapes and snow-covered coniferous forests - for five endless days.
During our expedition into the land of the Sámi we´re going to get inspired by their nomadic culture, traditions and original way of life. Endurance, willpower and cohesion will enable us to cross the hostile environment and unveil the secrets of this untouched region.
Our destination will be a very special place that will grant us rest, shelter and time for reflecting.
Facing the dangerous threat of snowstorms, and under hardest conditions, we will have to master our equipment and survival skills precisely.

Only with the help of our cohesion, power of will and endurance will we be able to cross the hostile environment and unveil the secrets of this untouched region. Delicade powdered snow flutters onto your face as you lift the heavy curtain and step out the tent. The sky is clear and you take the time to look at your surroundings: At the valley, untouched fields of snow and a seemingly endless mountain range with its harsh summits in the distance. There is nothing left to remind you of yesterday´s strong wind and snowfall, in which you and your team had to set up camp. The wind was blowing heavily into the fabric - only together and at the last minute were you able to save the tent. Last night´s tracks in the snow have vanished and the masses of snow building up on the outside of the tent make it seem like a small fort. You hear well-known voices from the inside and remember your morning mission: fire and coffee. As you dig through the pulka in search of the fire steel, the sun slowly emerges from behind the hill tops and floods everything in a warm light. After the very short night and the storm´s tribulations, you finally feel bliss. You are proud of you and your team. As you savor the warmth of the sun kissing your skin, you are excited for the day ahead of you. And should the weather change … We will be ready!
After a long day out in the cold a unique experience will await us: We are going to sleep outside in tents heated by wood stoves (IF we find firewood), surrounded by the silence of the arctic night and a starry sky. With a bit of luck we´ll get enchanted by the dancing polar lights. The chances of experiencing this natural spectacle this year are especially high because Aurora Borealis reaches its most intense phase every 11 years. It could be the perfect finale of every day - an incomparable moment that transforms the tough days into magical memories.
The region of Swedish-Lapland includes the upper part of Sweden, directly north of the arctic circle. The landscape is traditionally inhabited by the indigenous people of the Sámi since thousands of years; and - with its swamps, wild river courses, icy mountains and snowy coniferous forests - offers a great variety of flora and fauna. The region of our expedition is shaped by a breathtaking scenery that shows its beauty especially in the wintertime. Thick spruce and pine forests stretch for miles and miles and eventually blur into the open tundra with mountain ranges, broad grass fields, barren rocks and glaciers. Kebnekaise, Swedens highest mountain, stands not far from us. Frozen rivers and glassy lakes full of pikes and trouts hem this winter landscape, inhabited by foxes, moose, reindeer and bobcats. Even big predators like bears and wolves are native to this place, but to be found rarely.
Where, during the day, tremendous masses of snow sparkle in the sun, at dark awaits the special spectacle of the polar lights.
Wir face the Sámi land with humility, mindfulness and respect to make sure that our adventure stays sustainable for the animals and nature.
We are committed to nature. To make a contribution to the preservation and restoration of our local flora and fauna for future generations, we make sure that 5% of the profit goes into a private fond dedicated to the acquisition and renaturation of forests.

How fit do I need to be?
Do I have to be as strong as Chuck Norris for this expedition?
Not at all! Everyone has to start somewhere, and we’ll make sure you’re well-prepared. You’ll have plenty of time, as we start preperations months in advance and we can advise effective training and preparations to build the strength and endurance you’ll need. But of course you should be fit before the trip starts!
How will I prepare Physically?
Alex and Sebastian, your guides, will provide you with training guidance, equipment recommendations, and ongoing support to help you prepare effectively for the journey.
How will I prepare Mentally?
Before the trip begins, the group will have opportunities to connect and get to know each other online. If possible, you may even meet in person to share experiences and start building connections early.
What will the other participants be like?
We carefully review each team member’s application to ensure we’re all on the same wavelength from the start. Our goal is for everyone to enjoy the experience, and we’ve found that people drawn to adventures like this tend to have a lot in common. In fact, many groups bond so closely during these trips that they feel like family by the end!
What language will be spoken?
We can fluently accommodate the following languages: English, German, Spanish, and Swedish. We want to make sure everyone will feel included as we are a team who need to rely on each other.
What equipment do I need?
We will provide you with most of the equipment you will need. You will also receive an equipment list where everything is explained in detail, and we will be around to help with advice and recommendations.
Will we need to survive on our own?
Not at all! You’ll learn essential polar survival skills and techniques to prepare for the expedition; however, we will remain together as a group throughout the journey.
What Will We Eat?
We’ll cook together, and all meals will be transported in our pulkas. Given the high-energy demands of the environment, we’ll focus on hearty, nourishing foods like porridge, nuts, dried meat, and some local Nordic specialties. Rest assured, the meals will be enjoyable! Vegetarian and vegan options will be possible as well.
What will we learn?
Essential survival and bushcraft techniques tailored for polar winter conditions.
For example:
- Recognizing and preparing for winter hazards, including snow and ice management.
- Fire skills specific to snowy environments, including fire-starting and maintenance.
- Building and sleeping in a Quinzhee (snow shelter) for warmth and protection
- Ice fishing techniques and fish preparation practices.
- Wildlife tracking and interpreting animal behavior in winter.
- Managing, caring for and leading a dogsled team.
- Exploring Sami culture and traditional practices in winter.
- Identifying and using winter plants for sustenance and survival.
- Orientation and navigation skills in snowy terrain. …and much more!
What will we use to traverse the wilderness?
We will use cross country skis, each pulling your own pulka (simple sled) while being supported by a dogsled team. You will have the opportunity to learn how to, and drive the sled team.
When does the expedition start?
The first 2-3 days will be training in our base camp, which we will build together in the wilderness. Then the expedition starts on day 4.
What is the risk of Illness or Injury?
Be aware that the risk of illness or injury is potentially higher on this adventure than on a standard vacation. This is far from a casual trip to the beach; we’re venturing into the demanding environment of the subarctic, where mistakes can carry serious consequences. However, our team prioritizes safety and with thorough preparation to handle any situation that may arise. Our experienced guides, with over 15 years of expertise in polar regions, will lead the way and ensure you are well-supported. We’ll also cover every detail with you beforehand to ensure you feel confident and prepared.
How many trips are planned each year?
In 2025, we are launching a single, unique adventure—a pioneering experience crafted with heart and dedication. For 2026, we aim to expand to 2-3 trips, allowing more adventurers to join us on these extraordinary journeys

Team
Sebastian Kamp
Dog musher & owner of Kiruna Husky
He has been living for 15 years as a professional dog sled guide and wilderness guide in northern Swedish Lapland. During this time, he has led many groups through the mountains and forests in the depths of winter. He does not always choose the easiest route, preferring to avoid cabins and marked trails, seeking adventure away from civilization in tents, bivouac sacks, or snow caves. He dedicates his life to his family and his sled dogs. He tests his own limits and those of his dogs in long-distance races of 600 km.
Survival Guide
Survival and bushcraft instructor, wilderness educator, industrial engineer, and expedition team leader. Growing up in the Swedish forest, he developed a deep connection to nature, which he has honed through countless adventures around the world. Alex’s expertise spans organizing Adventures, setting up safety protocols for challenging projects like 7vsWild, and training new team leaders for Wandermut. His field experience is vast and varied, including 600 km treks through the Sahara, jungle crossings, surviving on remote islands, and dog sledding in polar regions. Our full-time adventurer not only possesses a wide repertoire of hard and soft skills, but his enthusiasm and eye for the unnoticed is contagious
I found it extremely positive that he let the group decide pretty much everything and didn't want to override the group (except for safety decisions)
Alex was and is the perfect person for this type of adventure. You can just see his love of nature and his enthusiasm, which also spills over to the participants. I also really appreciate Alex as a person. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met. You can consider yourself more than lucky to have someone like Alex on your team. He is such a great person ❤️
He was the perfect team leader and buddy
Good effort, held back in the right place (consciously). Great mood spread! Lots of greetings. Lots of own ideas, which I thought were great (e.g.: loud noises instead of times to coordinate timing) Unfortunately, a problem in the team was put into perspective once, which the team should have resolved. As a result, the issue remained unresolved (the issue of rainwater).
The team was super motivated, paid attention to each participant, helped perfectly within the team, promoted team building, and was involved with the right mix of fun and seriousness. I would be delighted if he became my team leader again on my next adventure. Everything just worked out.
Alex was an individual with each person. Alex has a unique spirit, his passion and craziness is perfect and extremely infectious. Alex as a team leader - we couldn't have wished for anything better.
Alex was great. And authentic. No requests for changes.
Simply the best team leader
He did everything he could to ensure that we were ONE team and he kept civilization out perfectly. A+ on the island. Everything was fine in Panama City, sometimes I wasn't sure whether he had the process exactly in mind himself 😉
Alex is so fun to work with! I am the designer/website backend person here with Kiruna Husky. I have had the pleasure of working very closly with Alex on this page, from design to publication. His passion, enthusiasm, and absolute dedication to this project was frankly, infectious. You get the feeling that he has thought through every detail with a fine tooth comb. With his, and Sebastians combined experience, This tour is going to be a once in a lifetime oppurtunity!
The structure and communication within the group was very important to him. This was noticeable through discussion groups at the end of each day, which was a little strange at first but became an important routine over the course of the tour. Conversations on any topic were also always possible. Alex did a very good job.
Good: Was very fair and had no favorite participants. And many other
things. Just a nice guy. Suggestions for improvement: I would have to
think about it for a long time.
Alex carried out his job as group leader perfectly
Alex was responsive to everyone and always had an open ear. Even if the discussion sessions were unusual at first, you quickly learned to love them. This meant that everyone could talk about how they were feeling. With fixed schedules, you always knew what was going to happen next, which could sometimes be a bit too tight. However, in response to feedback, he softened it up a bit, so that it was consistent for everyone. All in all, I had a great time with Alex and thought it was great how he managed everything and always had fun.
He fit in well with the group and motivated everyone superbly. He contributed as much as he needed to and, in my opinion, did his job very well.
Communication before the tour, video call before the tour. Explanation of the contents and use of the team leader backpack. If necessary, invite a participant from the previous group to the video call or perhaps invite Leon too.
I was very satisfied
Nothing to complain about 🙂
Alex, keep it up!!!
Alex was a great team leader, I have no suggestions for improvement. Alex is strong in communication, keeps the team together really well, involves the local guides very well, etc.
I think Alex did his job well. He formed a good bridge between the team and the guide. He and the team created a very harmonious picture of the adventure and made it a special time for everyone.
