KIRUNA HUSKY AFTERNOON
This Kiruna Husky Afternoon tour is ideal for you if you want to get out and enjoy Lapland’s winter while driving your own dog sled team. Up to six dogs will pull your sled through the glittering white landscape. Plenty of opportunities for photography are waiting out in the wilderness. Prepare for adventure
After we pick you up from your hotel or meeting point within Kiruna local town area we will transport you to our homebase in Kalixfors. You will meet our dogs and if we have time you may help harness them too. You will be provided a head torch if needed and warm outer clothing and shoes. Then on this guided nature tour we will instruct you on how to drive the sled, steer and stop the sled safely.

Feel the power
Several teams of two adults and 5 or 6 dogs will whisk you silently through the snow, and you will spend half of the time as a driver, usually around an hour and a half in total out in the wild. As the passenger you will have loads of time to take pictures of your trip safely. Furthermore, you do not have to drive if you don’t want to. As you can spend your trip as a passenger on the guide sled with the best views instead. Small children will ride with an adult or on the guide sled.
Warm up with fire and fika
Afterwards we will offer you to join us in our Nordic tipi tent. Here we will have Swedish fika while boiling coffee and tea on fire and chatting about your experiences. Join us on a fantastic dog sled tour along the river Kalix, even better with family or friends to share this unique nordic adventure.
